The Executive Director roles
The GLA’s restructured Corporate Management Team comprises five permanent roles -- Chief Officer and five Executive Directors – plus a sixth Executive Director role created for fixed term of c 18 months.

Three Executive Director posts – Resources, Housing & Land, and Assembly Secretariat – are already filled permanently. We are recruiting to the remaining three posts now.
Executive Director for Good Growth – a role which works closely with several Deputy Mayors to ensure that London is a great place to live and work for all its citizens and covering everything from planning and regeneration, to the environment and the GLA’s work to protect and enhance London’s economy.
Executive Director for Communities and Skills – a role which works closely with several Deputy Mayors to develop policy and deliver programmes to support the communities and individuals who are most vulnerable in London. This is a new role with the opportunity to help shape how a number of existing teams are brought together in a new directorate to best effect for the Londoners we are supporting.
Executive Director for Strategy and Communications – this role will create and lead a small but effective corporate centre that can drive change and even more innovation and collaboration across the organisation. We are bringing together a number of existing functions – such as data and analysis, external affairs, government relations, the press office, information governance, internal communications – and, at the same time, enhancing our capacity around corporate strategy. This is a new role with the opportunity to help shape how a number of existing teams to best effect. It is fixed term for c18 months.
